Mobile and PWA

CutBench works as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on phones and tablets — ideal for fitters and templaters in the field.

Who can do this​

All users; especially useful for fitters and templaters.

Mobile navigation​

On small screens, the bottom navigation shows Jobs, Calendar, and Inbox for quick access.

Install to home screen​

When you open the dashboard on a phone in the browser, CutBench can show a bar asking you to add it to your home screen.

  • Android (Chrome and similar): tap Install when the browser offers it, or Show me how for menu steps (Install app / Add to Home screen).
  • iPhone / iPad (Safari): tap Show me how, then Share → Add to Home Screen → Add.
  • Other browsers on iPhone: open the same page in Safari first — only Safari can add the app to the Home Screen.
  • Tap Not now if you prefer to stay in the browser; the prompt will not keep coming back.

Once installed, CutBench opens from its own icon like a normal app.

Push notifications​

Enable push notifications from the banner on the dashboard or under Settings → Notifications to receive alerts on mobile. On iPhone, notifications work best after you have installed the app; the install prompt appears before the notification banner when both would apply.
